What We Do

Cadillac Service at Broadway Servicenter - Nassau County

The Escalade is a great truck with two known weak points we see constantly: AFM lifter failure on the V8, which announces itself as a tick before it becomes a dead cylinder, and air suspension components that wear out with age and Long Island potholes. Catching either one early is the difference between a repair and a rebuild.

We service the whole Cadillac line, from CT5 sedans to XT5 crossovers to full-size Escalades, with the same approach: diagnose it properly, quote it once, fix it right, back it with a 6-month / 6,000-mile warranty. The dealer service line in this county books out weeks. Bob picks up the phone today.

FAQ
Cadillac FAQ
What causes the AFM lifter tick on Cadillac Escalade?
The AFM (Active Fuel Management) system on 5.3L and 6.2L V8 engines deactivates cylinders at light load to save fuel. The lifters that handle cylinder deactivation are designed differently from standard lifters and develop internal failures at higher mileage - typically 80,000-120,000 miles. The result is a tick, oil consumption, and eventually misfires. We repair these and can discuss disabling the AFM/DFM system to prevent recurrence.
Does the Cadillac Escalade air suspension need maintenance?
Yes. The Escalade's air suspension compressor runs continuously to maintain ride height, and the air bags have a finite lifespan. Common failure symptoms include a corner that sags overnight, the compressor running constantly, or a suspension fault warning. We diagnose air suspension issues on Escalade and XT6 - compressor replacement, bag inspection, and height sensor faults.
Does Broadway service the CT5-V Blackwing?
Yes. We handle oil changes (correct spec for the supercharged LT4 engine), brake service, tires, and diagnostics on the CT5-V Blackwing and CT4-V Blackwing. Performance Cadillacs need the right oil grade and the brake pads wear quickly with spirited driving. We have experience with GM high-performance platforms.
Is Cadillac dealer maintenance worth the cost after warranty?
Most Cadillac owners find that independent shop service matches dealer quality at significantly lower cost. We use the correct GM oil specification (dexos1 Gen 3 for most current models), OEM or equivalent parts, and GM-compatible diagnostic equipment. The main reason to go to the dealer after warranty is warranty-covered repairs - everything else is available at Broadway at lower rates.
Does Broadway service all Cadillac models?
Yes - Escalade, Escalade ESV, CT4, CT4-V, CT5, CT5-V, CT5-V Blackwing, XT4, XT5, and XT6. Older models including SRX and ATS are also welcome.
What warranty covers Cadillac repairs at Broadway?
All repair work is backed by a 6-month or 6,000-mile warranty on parts and labor, whichever comes first.
