What We Do

Buick Service at Broadway Servicenter - Nassau County

Buick owners tend to keep their vehicles a long time, and the ones that make it past 150,000 miles are the ones whose owners stayed ahead of two things: the timing chain wear on the 3.6L V6 in the Enclave, and oil consumption on the older Encore 1.4 turbo. Both are manageable if you catch them early, and both get expensive if you do not.

Bring your Buick to 640 Old Country Road and we will tell you exactly where it stands. Oil changes, brakes, AC work, NYS inspections, all of it same day in most cases, all of it backed by our 6-month / 6,000-mile warranty.

FAQ
Buick FAQ
What are the most common Buick repairs at Broadway?
The most common Buick services we handle are the 3.6L timing chain on Enclave at higher mileage, AC refrigerant leaks on Encore and Envision, oil consumption monitoring on older Encore with the 1.4T Ecotec, and cooling system inspection on 3.6L and 2.4L GM engines. Standard maintenance - oil changes, brakes, tires, and NYS inspections - rounds out most visits.
Does the Buick Enclave have timing chain problems?
The 3.6L V6 in Buick Enclave uses a timing chain that can develop tensioner wear at higher mileage - similar to the same engine in Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia. A cold-start rattle is the typical symptom. We inspect the timing chain system on high-mileage Enclaves and recommend addressing any developing noise before it becomes a more serious repair.
Why does the older Encore burn oil?
The 1.4-liter turbocharged Ecotec in 2013-2019 Encore has documented above-average oil consumption from the factory. The piston rings allow oil to pass under certain driving conditions. Owners of these vehicles should check the oil level every few thousand miles, not just at scheduled service intervals. We make a point of noting this to Encore owners during every service.
Is Buick repair expensive at Broadway versus the dealer?
Considerably less. Buick shares the GM platform with Chevrolet and GMC, and our familiarity with GM engines means we handle Buick service at the same skill level as a dealer - at significantly lower labor rates and without dealer parts markup.
Does Broadway service all Buick models?
Yes - Enclave, Envision, Encore, Encore GX, and older models including LaCrosse, Regal, and Verano. All Buick models are welcome.
What warranty covers Buick repairs at Broadway?
All repair work is backed by a 6-month or 6,000-mile warranty on parts and labor, whichever comes first.
